Plan a perfect Father’s Day in Houston

Father’s day is quickly approaching and we are all looking for ways to show our dads that we care. Lucky for you we have compiled the ultimate list of things to do with dad in the Houston area this Sunday. From tasty brunch to music events to activities for outdoorsy dads or those who enjoy being wined and dined, there’s something for every dad to enjoy.


8:00 am to 3:00 pm. 8th Wonder Brewery hosts a Father’s Day Beer Brunch at Leeland House with tasty brunch specials, themed drinks like Haterade Michedadas and Weisstheimer Dadmosas. Admission: Menu prices vary. Find out more

8:30 am to 10:00 am. Celebrate Father’s Day with your family at Hermann Park with a scenic breakfast on Pinewood Cafe’s patio overlooking serene McGovern Lake. Continue the fun with a ride on the Hermann Park Railroad, a fun arts and craft activity, and pedal boat ride. Admission: Tickets are $14 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under. Find out more

9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Cadillac Bar Houston hosts their Father’s Day Fiesta Sunday Brunch with over 70 buffet items to choose from. Admission: Menu prices vary. Find out more

10:00 am. Treat dad to a delicious meal when all Churrascos locations host a Father’s Day Brunch buffet from 10am to 4pm and dinner after 4pm featuring their signature South American food. 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Bring the whole family out to Traders Village Houston for the Father’s Day Out concert and car show. Local’s Wet Deam VW Club hosts the show with over 50 cars and live music by Sol Flair. Admission: Free to attend; $4 for parking. Find out more

10:00 am to 10:00 pm. All Dads receive a free All-Day Ride Pass with the purchase of an All-Day Ride Pass. Limit one free pass per purchase. Valid only on June 17, 2018 at the Kemah Boardwalk. Admission: Free for dad with purchase of all-day pass. Find out more

11:00 am to 8:00 pm. This family- and dog-friendly outdoor venue offers craft beers, gourmet eats, live music and yard games for the whole family to enjoy. Everything dad could ever want on his special day. Admission: Free. Find out more

11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Celebrate your pops with some tasty barbecue at City Acre Brewing Co. There will be a dad-friendly playlist going, dad-friendly movies on the TV and lots of yard games for the kiddos. Admission: No cover. Plates will be $18.95. Find out more



12:15 pm to 7:00 pm. Share a day of art with your fathers and grandfathers at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Admission: All fathers will receive free general admission. Find out more

1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens host a Father’s Day event that includes complimentary lemonade and cookies at the Lora Jean Kilroy Visitor and Education Center. Admission: Fathers and grandfathers receive complimentary admission. Find out more

3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Celebrate dad with a fried chicken parking lot shindig at the Heights neighborhood favorite, Revival Market. The eatery will have live music from the Will Van Horn Trio, beer from Spindletap, games for the whole family, and of course, fried bird. 6:00 pm. Take dad to enjoy a screening of the iconic 1969 Western, True Grit, on the big screen at Alamo Drafthouse Houston. Admission: Tickets are $9.74. Find out more
