MCADAMS JUNIOR

HIGH SCHOOL

The strength of McAdams Junior High’s academics and programs is evident in the awards and accolades the school has garnered; for example, more than half of the students that competed in the 2014 Galveston County Science Fair brought home awards. The school also boasts excellent art, band, yearbook and student councils in addition to an outstanding show choir, with both the Tenor-Bass Chorus and the Symphonic Choir garnering Superior ratings at UIL competitions.

DICKINSON

HIGH SCHOOL

Dickinson High School students and staff have plenty to be proud of. From 2013 to 2014, the number of Advanced Placement exams given at DHS increased by 50 percent and the number of students that earned a passing score more than doubled. In addition to providing solid college preparation, the school boasts a strong athletics department that includes soccer, track, baseball and football — the latter of which were district champions in 2014. The school also offers a number of electives and fine arts programs, as well as clubs for Business Professionals of America, Future Farmers of America and the Texas Technology Students Association.
