EMPIRE UPDATE RE: COVID-19View Updates
It was a beautiful sunny day in Brantford on August 27th as we hosted the first Care for the Caregivers Day at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre along with our partners the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. About 500 staff members and volunteers came out with their family and friends to be appreciated for the hard work and dedication they have put into making the organization an important part of the Brantford community.
Linebackers Lucas Wacha and Larry Dean from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats came to join the festivities by playing games with the children, signing autographs and taking photos with fans. Another very special guest, 1972 Grey Cup winner Jim Papai was also in attendance – a Brantford resident who regularly volunteers at the Stedman Community Hospice gardens.
Empire Communities is proud to be a long-time support of St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre, and we were honoured to be able to host such a special and memorable event for their deserving staff and volunteers. A special thanks to our friends at the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for helping us bring the event to life.
Here’s a recap of the day.
