When you live in Texas, there’s no shortage of events to attend. From festivals and fairs to the famous Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, there’s always something to immerse yourself in. To ensure you don’t miss out on any of the festivities, we’ve rounded up some of the upcoming events that are planned in Texas. Discover everything new and noteworthy that’s happening in Austin, Houston and San Antonio below.

1. Mardi Gras Galveston

Bust out your carnival gear because the Mardi Gras celebrations are here. From February 18 to March 1, there’ll be an abundance of parades, live concerts, races and other speciality events taking place. You can buy restaurant packages that give you the best balcony views of the festival’s decorative floats, or opt to be part of the parade itself if opportunities aren’t already sold out.

2. Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

From horse and livestock shows to concerts and carnival rides and barbecue cook-offs, the Houston Rodeo takes every member of the family into account with events that appeal to the masses. From February 28 to March 20, bring the youngest members of your clan along or attend with friends instead. Next, don’t forget to check out the rodeos planned in Austin and San Antonio.

3. The Interactive Selfie Experience

Looking to up your selfie game this year? Well, now’s your chance. The Interactive Selfie Experience is running from now until March 31 at The Galleria in Houston. Snap some photos in more than fifteen curated rooms including an Infinity Mirror Room and DJ Confetti Room. It’s the perfect place to take a new family portrait or celebrate a special milestone with a loved one, with pictures you can look back on for years to come.

4. Fiesta San Antonio

This year, Fiesta San Antonio is taking place from March 31 to April 10. What started out as a single parade has turned into a two-week long event dedicated to celebrating San Antonio’s diverse cultures. There’s concerts planned, contests scheduled and a variety of shows on tap. Let’s just say there’s never going to be a dull moment based on what this annual event has planned.

5. Wine and Wildflower Journey

What better way to ring in spring than with a wine and wildflower journey in Fredericksburg? From March 28 to April 22, you can sample award-winning wines at the Texas Hill Country Wineries while admiring some of Texas’ most picturesque views.

6. Folk Fest New Braunfels

Round up the whole family and spend April 9 or 10 celebrating early Texans at Folkfest. Enjoy reenactments of historical moments, arts and crafts, live entertainment, antique shopping and food and drinks. Admission is $10 and kids under 6 years of age are free.

7. SXSW Conference and Festival

From March 11 to 20, South by Southwest or SXSW for short will be making its way back to Austin. The annual conference and event is dedicated to helping creative people achieve their goals and celebrating tech, film, music, education and culture. This year’s keynote speakers include artists like Lizzo, with many other exhibitions and festivals planned.

8. Spring Antique Week

Whether or not you collect antiques, Spring Antique Week in Round Top is a must-see. Those who attend will only find genuine antiques and vintage pieces, making this one of the best antique shows in the nation. Mark your calendars because this year’s event is running from March 28 to April 2.
