Kick this long weekend off with a bang by exploring all the festivities North Carolina has to offer this 4th of July. From fireworks to parades and so much more, gather all your friends and family to celebrate this quintessential American holiday.

Fourth of July Celebration at the U.S. National Whitewater Center

While the fireworks will be missed at this two-day celebration, there’s still an abundance of  activities you and your family will love. From July 3rd – July 4th, take part in group yoga, listen to live music or gather a few buddies and hit the trails to compete solo or on a team in their Revolutionary Duatholon.

WBT SkyShow

Enjoy a game of baseball followed by the largest fireworks show in all of the Southeast at Truist Field. Sports enthusiasts everywhere can watch the Charlotte Knights play against the Gwinnett Stripers on July 4th in this grand celebration.

July 4th Fireworks at Carowinds

Enjoy a weekend-long fireworks spectacular at Carowinds from July 2nd – July 4th. This grand celebration will be accompanied by an all-American soundtrack, creating a fireworks show that you and your friends will not want to miss.

The Town of Harrisburg

Join the locals at Harrisburg Park for two days of fun, food, entertainment and fireworks in their annual parade. The parade will begin at Captain Steve’s, on Highway 49 and will travel down Highway 49 to the intersection of Highway 49 and Robinson Avenue. Attendees can also listen to the live bands playing all throughout the weekend, like Groove Machine and Carolina Soul Band.

The City of Gastonia

The City of Gastonia will be hosting their very own 4th of July celebration at Rotary Centennial Pavilion, filled with food trucks, local vendors, entertainment, a free KidsZone and of course, fireworks. Bring your lawn chair and plenty of blankets so that you can observe the show in absolute comfort.

Now’s the time to relax, so take a break from the grill this holiday long-weekend and explore a few authentic spots for the best Southern barbeque around Charlotte.
